Turbosmart Turbochargers

Turbosmart’s turbochargers are the TS-1 and TS-2 ranges, numbered by frame size from 5862 to 8280. The TS-1 is oil-cooled and the TS-2 is the water-cooled version, listed up to the 7170. Turbosmart states that each turbo comes with its weld flanges, V-band clamps, gaskets and oil feed and drain fittings.

After the frame size, four choices remain. The turbine inlet flange is T3, T4, D4 or V-band, and the A/R runs from 0.63 to 1.24. Most units are externally wastegated, with a few internally wastegated versions, and several come in reverse-rotation form for mirrored twin-turbo layouts. Kompact versions of the 6870 and 7170 are listed separately.

Filed with the turbos are parts that go around them. They include turbine inlet gaskets for T3, T4 and T6 flanges in single or divided form, drain adapters and extensions, and turbo oil pressure regulators. Anti-lag valves, electronic BoostGate wastegates, replacement wastegate springs and modular boost reference blocks are listed as well.

Nothing in this listing is tied to a particular car. An externally wastegated turbo needs a separate wastegate and a manifold with a port for it, and a water-cooled unit needs coolant lines as well as oil.
