QSP Wiring & Terminals

QSP’s wiring range covers the consumables for building or repairing a loom rather than finished harnesses. Terminals include pre-insulated ring, fork and push-on terminals, colour-coded by the wire size they take. Uninsulated starter eyes are listed by cable cross-section in mm² and stud size, from 10 mm² up for battery and starter leads. Connectors include sealed Superseal housings, multi-pin connector pins and solder joints. For the wire itself there is PVC hookup wire on 100 m rolls, and for protection split loom tubing, self-closing braided sleeve, 3:1 heat-shrink sleeving and cable ties.

Many parts come in packs of 5, 10 or 100. The listings give the diameter or cross-section each part suits, so size a terminal to the conductor as well as to the stud.

For a loom that sees heat and vibration, crimp with the correct die for the terminal type and support the wire behind the crimp with heat-shrink. Keep cables away from the exhaust and sharp edges, using loom tubing or braided sleeve wherever they pass through or across metal.
