AP Coilovers

AP offers its coilovers as one line with fixed damping, so the adjustment is ride height only. The line is built on a threaded, galvanised strut at the front and, on almost every kit, at the rear as well. With no damping versions to compare, the choice comes down to finding the kit for your car and body style. Each listing names the body styles it covers: hatchback, saloon, estate, coupé or convertible.

Most kits are complete sets of coilover struts for both axles. On some cars with separate rear springs and dampers, the rear is supplied as height-adjustable springs with matching dampers instead. Where the approval is given, it is a German parts certificate (Teilegutachten).

Volkswagen, Audi and BMW have the most listings, followed by Seat, Skoda, Ford and Opel, with Fiat, Honda, Peugeot, Mercedes-Benz, Renault and Alfa Romeo among the rest. The A3 (8V), Octavia III, Leon (5F) and Golf VII lead the model list, and older cars such as the Audi A4 (B5) are covered too.
