Description

The RMT Racing Mandrel is an essential tool for anyone who fabricates stainless steel braided brake lines using re-usable fittings, banjo eyes, or hose ends. Designed for precision and durability, this mandrel helps you achieve professional-quality results with ease.

Each side of the mandrel features a different connection: D-03 and D-04 – the two most common brake line sizes in motorsport. With just one tool, you can create custom brake lines that fit perfectly.

Flare the braided section so the copper olive fits neatly over the PTFE liner also with this mandrel.

Push the fitting (hose end or banjo) into the PTFE and tighten the nut using a bit of WD-40 or light oil.

Repeat on the other side – and your brake line is ready for installation.

Pair your custom-made brake lines with top-quality racing brake fluid, such as Torque RT700 or PFC665, to ensure a firm, consistent pedal feel. With the right setup, your lines won’t expand under pressure – giving you total confidence on track or road.
